Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful that Brad and Will are both feeling better today!

Feeling a little better and playing again

Poor Will was so sick yesterday. I stayed home with him because Brad had gotten a stomach bug the night before so he was out of commission. I'm glad I did because he got very sick during the day and had me worried. We had been to the doctor on Tuesday and found out he has RSV. We were sent home on breathing treatments but he was getting worse and having trouble breathing, wasn't eating well and was running fever. We ended up going back to the doctor and I was afraid they would want to put him in the hospital because he was wheezing. But they sent us home with some oral steroids and within a few hours he went from being listless and mostly sleeping to more alert and playful. He's a lot better today, thank goodness!

Big Boy Carseat

It finally arrived!

Ready to roll - cell phone and all!

Will is about to outgrow his infant seat. It goes up to 30 lbs but the straps are nearly too tight now, so we moved up to a convertible seat. I had been wanting to get him a Britax Marathon because of their great reviews and safety ratings, but they're kind of expensive. I had 10% off a target.com order and was about to order one but decided to do a google search just to make sure I couldn't find it cheaper. Well I did find it on http://www.travelingtikes.com/ for $189 total - tax & shipping included! That's $70 less than target with the coupon! I was pretty excited. After a week of using it, I think we like it enough to order a second one for our other vehicle.

This is the way I feed myself...

Gimmee those nanners

I can do it myself!

Mmm... sweet potatoes
I like my new sippy!

Look at the mess I made!

Will has been very eager to help me feed him lately. I decided since it was bath night, I may as well let him go all out. He seemed to enjoy grabbing the spoon and playing in the bananas and sweet potatoes. He's getting better at using his sippy cup, though he prefers for us to hold it for him. (By the way I love the Nuby brand sippies seen here. The valve is built into the lid so you don't lose parts!)

Happy 7 Months Little Guy!

Will is 7 months old today! We got him a rubber ball and he really seems to like it. He would giggle when we rolled it to him. I was hoping to get a picture of him holding it and smiling, but those of you who have tried to take pictures of babies know you take what you can get. We don't normally let him sit around in sweet potato and slobber soaked clothes but it was so close to bedtime we figured a few minutes wouldn't hurt. One cool thing about today is that he said 'da-da' several times! We know he doesn't really mean 'daddy' but it is so cute to hear!

Greetings from Siberia

My dad and another church member, Chris, made it safely to Siberia yesterday. Unfortunately, one of their group members, Bill, was stricken with kidney stones before they landed in Moscow and the 4th member of the group, James, stayed with Bill to help take care of him. They were able to get to an American hospital with all English-speaking staff and Bill is doing well and should be on his way home soon. The first picture is of my dad and Chris up in the hills and the second is a former women's prison that is being converted into a church in Antioch. Please pray for everyone's continued saftey.

Mr. Giggles

Will's Aunty Alyssa had him cracking up at these puppets this weekend in Columbus. I wish I could bottle that sound! It is priceless!

Prayers Answered and Prayers Needed

We took Will to the cardiologist on Monday to follow up on the hole in his heart. He does still have an atrial-septal defect, but it is small and the doctor thinks it will close up in the next year. His pulmonary artery is now a normal size and everything else looks perfect! We will go back next November and make sure the ASD has closed. So thank you for all of your prayers for our little boy.

My dad is leaving for Russia on Saturday for a 10 day mission trip, so please pray for his and the group's safety as they travel and spread God's word. Please keep my family in your prayers as well as we are facing a new challenge right now.

Happy Birthday Girls!

Happy Birthday to my buds Haven and Deanna. I can't wait to see y'all next weekend!

Where's Will?

This is Will's new favorite game.

Will's Halloween Wardrobe

Will had a few looks for Halloween. The pumpkin outfit belonged to his cousin Alex and it was a little big, but I knew it wouldn't fit next year, so I put it on him. He wasn't thrilled about the pea in a pod outfit from his Nana. I think the headpiece was bothering him. He seemed to love his Superman onesie (complete with cape!) from his Aunty Alyssa. He had many outfits to choose from thanks to our loving friends and family!

Hanging out with Sadie

We went to dinner with our friends the Murpheys last night and got to see their sweet little girl Sadie again. She has grown so much since we last saw them! She was so good and slept the whole way there, all through dinner and the whole way home. Will was very active during dinner and tried to grab everything, from the menus to Brad's napkin to Sadie's toy on her carseat. He even tried to grab something out of the waiter's pocket! 10 weeks sure makes a big difference in activity level! You can see in the above picture how he likes to stick his tongue out now. It's out most of the time he's awake, thanks to his great-grandmother who apparently taught him this!

Rub-a-dub-dub

Cute guy in a tub! Will has learned to splash the water and this is what he does during his baths now. I couldn't even get him to look at the camera because he was so intent on the water!
