Baby in Progress

7 weeks

19 weeks

29 weeks
It is so amazing to me to look at these pictures and see the progression of Will's growth. It is nothing short of miraculous and just proves to me that we serve a mighty God who can do anything! The fact that this child was created from 2 teeny tiny cells and now looks like a person 7 months later is incredible. The first picture was to confirm the pregnancy at 7 weeks. We got to see his heartbeat and his little butterbean shape. The second was at 19 weeks to make sure he was growing well and it was the day we found out he was a boy! We recently had the last ultrasound done which is in 3D and we have a DVD in 4D (the right side of his face is blurry because he was playing with his umbilical cord). I'm so glad we got to have the 3D/4D one done because it will be neat to compare him to it once he's born. It truly was a bonding experience for me to see the face of our baby. Now we've got almost 9 weeks to go before we can see him for real!

Furry Friends

Lucy and Jake

Lucy aka "Miss Bear"

Jakester
These sweet dogs are currently our babies. We've had them since our first year of marriage and we love spending time with them. They probably get a little spoiled because we let them in every night and its quite common for at least one of them to get in bed with us. Lucy is our early riser, always eager to greet the day once the sun is out. Its ok during the week because we have to get up anyway but we wished she had a snooze button for the weekend. Jake on the other hand is a dog after my own heart. He could sleep all day if you let him. What I can't figure out is how he can 'hold it' for that long! Though we've tried to tell them, I'm sure they don't quite grasp how their lives will soon change. I doubt they will get the level of attention they're used to once Will arrives. But hopefully once he's older he'll be their favorite playmate.

Starting out

I wanted to start a blog to chronicle our lives and help family and friends keep up with us. Brad and I have been happily married since October 2004 and we are very excited to welcome a new addition to the Sharp family in late April of this year. We currently live in Brandon, Mississippi and have 2 Golden Retrievers, Lucy and Jake. I'm a nurse for a hospice company and Brad works in accounting with a rental car company. God has blessed us in many ways and we are lucky to have so many friends and family who love us. We can't wait to become parents to a little boy who we plan to name William Patrick and call "Will".
