My brother Sam, sister-in-law Emily and their son Oliver came to visit this weekend and to see the play my parents are in. My grandparents also came into town to see the play and my oldest brother Chris and his family did as well. We were missing Brad and my other brother Joseph, but it is rare for all of us to be under the same roof. We all gathered at Mazzios for dinner, then all the kids came back to my house while the other adults went to the play. We had some good times and the cousins seemed to enjoy playing together. Can you see the poor dogs locked in the kitchen behind the baby gates?

We're in the Money...

Well, Will's in the money anyway. He was helping daddy count the money from the machines for the week. Will had fun picking it up and dropping it. At one point he crawled off with two $1 bills and I had to chase him to get it back. Too bad we don't get to keep it!

Not Me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I've been wanting to do Not Me Monday for awhile and Megan inspired me to go ahead with it.

Yesterday, I most certainly did NOT use a not-so-clean bib lying on the floormat of the Tahoe to wipe Will's nose before we went into church because I didn't want to put a big boogie on his clean burpcloth. Not me! That's just gross.

I also didn't come home at lunch on Wednesday to let the dogs out and discover that one of them had gotten sick and pooped all over the living room and dining room floors. Our dogs are perfect and never mess in the house.

On Valentine's Day, I certainly did not suggest we eat lunch out and order in dinner after my husband had been out of town all week working and eating out by himself. I'm a much better wife and cook than that.

I also didn't eat some really yummy chocolate, oreo balls and cupcakes this past week. I'm going to be in my friend's wedding in June and am dieting, so I definitely wouldn't do that!

There is NO WAY I let my 10 month old eat spaghetti while wearing a white shirt on a day that wasn't supposed to be bath or laundry day. I wouldn't do that, contrary to what the previous post shows.

What haven't you done this past week?

How Not to Feed Your 10 Month Old Spaghetti

I learned yesterday that if you feed your 10 month old spaghetti, you should definitely to it on laundry day and bath night because it will become laundry day and bath night anyway. And its not a good idea to do it while your husband is out of town. Or to leave a white shirt on your child even if you have a decently sized bib on him/her and their sleeves are rolled up. It will still get everywhere. Will has had spaghetti before but it was ground up and easy to get on a spoon. Noodles aren't so easy to spoon so after awhile I gave up and let him feed himself. Yeah, that was a brilliant idea.

Don't let them lick the bowl...

...or they'll look like this! (btw isn't his toothy grin adorable?)

The damage, which after some Shout, Oxyclean and other stuff, nearly all came out!

Pre bath: I wonder if he will ever get clean?

Ta-da! Sparkly clean with a funky do!

Post bath hair is fun, too! You can faux-hawk it!

Then you realize his natural look is best, comb it back and enjoy your clean baby!

So Disappointing

I got Will these adorable shoes from See Kai Run for Christmas. They're all leather with suede bottoms and come in many cute designs and colors. I like Robeez and similar products but they tend to leave marks around his chubby ankles, so I prefer to go with velcro shoes. But sadly after only 2 1/2 weeks of wearing them, his right shoe's strap was losing the velcro. Brad fixed it before I got a chance to take a picture. I figured it got messed up because Will likes to play with the strap of his right shoe for some reason, especially while he sits in his car seat. We've been careful with them for the past month because of this and he's been wearing other shoes, too. Then today the left shoe strap did the same thing! It's not frayed quite as bad as the right one, but it did come completely off. Ugh! I did remember to take a picture this time and I'm planning to write the company and let them know how displeased I am. We have some Pedipeds that we LOVE and he wore a pair for nearly 3 months (still playing with the right straps) and they look nearly brand new. Just wanted to pass the word on to you mommies out there: DON'T See Kai Run!

Guess Who's 10 Months Old!

My sweet baby is 10 months old today. I can't believe nearly a year has passed since we got to meet this wonderful little guy. He is learning new things every day and is so much fun to be around. I was lucky enough to leave work early and spend some extra time with him. Today he is stuck on "Dada" and has made entire conversations out of it. That's ok though, I still can't get enough of him!
