Will's Bear

I love my bear!

I like to squeeze him...

... and taste him...

... and bite him!

My bear fell!

I'll go get him.

I'm almost there, buddy!

Gotcha!

Alyssa gave Will this great bear. It is the perfect size for him and is very cuddly and moveable. It was his very first stuffed animal! We have been taking pictures with the bear every month and it is amazing to see him grow and grow. Now he is really starting to play with the bear and it is so cute! These were from today. I was taking them because I realized I haven't gotten a 5 month picture with the bear yet and he's 5 1/2 months now!

First Sippy Cup

Checking it out

Picking it up

Almost in my mouth!

My bib is pretty tasty!

Trying to get up and dislodging the tray

Getting aggrivated. (is he flipping me off here?)

Tray is almost gone

Just a little more
Tray's gone, sippy's gone, get me out!

Will has been very interested in our cups if we are holding him and drinking at the same time. I've let him suck on my glass and my mom let him taste some water out of hers last weekend. I got him a sippy cup today and we tried it out after his first taste of peas. He seemed to like it and picked it up well, though not always the right side up. I had taken the valves out of it so it's not spill-sproof and water got everywhere. You can see it on the carpet. We got a tray for our bumbo and sometimes use it instead of the highchair. He usually likes it but sometimes starts arching his back to get out. He started doing this and dislodged the tray and eventually got the tray off. He was mad by the end of it! This is probably mean of me, but his mad faces make me laugh!

Andrew's Wedding

Dunleith Plantation circa 1856

The happy couple

Me and Will after he'd been up 3 hours!

Off to start their honeymoon

My brother-in-law, Andrew, got married yesterday in Natchez at Dunleith Plantation. It was a beautiful wedding and Sara was a glowing bride. We got to visit with family and friends and Will was very well behaved. It was nice to get away for the weekend and get dressed up for the different events of the weekend. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Sharp!

5 months old

Happy Baby
Watching TV (notice how he's turning toward it)
Almost sitting!
Jumping!
Quick Tummy Time

Will is 5 months old today! He has changed and grown so much during the past 5 months. He is very aware of his surrounding and I think he gets frustrated by his body not cooperating with his brain. He doesn't really like to play on his mat as much as he used to, at least not laying down. He does love to sit in his bumbo and play with the toys on the bars. And if he gets tired of that, I stand him up at the playmat and he plays that way. He won't do much tummy time since he's learned to roll over. He'll stay for about 10-30 seconds and then he flips himself over. He loves his jumperoo and the johnny jumpup we were just given. He also loves watching TV! We try not to let him and if he's too entranced we just turn it off but if he's near it, he'll watch. He'll even tray to watch it when Brad is giving him a bottle! He is almost sitting up by himself. Right now it's more of a leaning-sit. He flashes us smiles all the time and talks a lot. He is very ticklish and giggles, too. I just love being around him and am so proud to be his mommy. I couldn't imagine what he'd be like when I was pregnant with him, but now I can't imagine him being any different. He's perfect in my eyes!

Will's New Trick

He's been doing this for a few weeks now, I just haven't posted the video. This was him doing it for the 4th time. Now he rolls over as soon as you put him on his belly. I'm even having to get up in the middle of the night to roll him back over so he can go back to sleep. I feel like I have a newborn again sleep-wise!

Going for a walk

It finally quit raining just long enough to go on a quick walk. I was glad to get out of the house, and Will always enjoys a stroller ride.

Will 'talking'

Sometimes he's very serious and sometimes, he's very talkative. This day was obviously the latter. He cracks me up!
