I am blessed with wonderful friends! They hosted a shower for us this weekend and it was so much fun. They put so much hard work into it and made sure every detail was perfect. They made pickle cookies and we had ice cream instead of traditional cake. It was so cute! We had a great time visiting with other friends and family and of course got some much needed and fun to have baby items. But most of all I just enjoyed seeing my buddies again since we only all get together a few times a year. I miss being in college and seeing them whenever I want to!

I had my shower at work today and my coworkers were so generous! Unfortunately I left my camera at home so I don't have any of the actual shower, but I did take some of the gifts we were given once I got back. I was most excited to get our stroller and car seat combo, especially since you can't bring a baby home if you don't have a car seat! We have been blessed! My last shower will be this weekend and I am very much looking forward to it because all of my wonderful friends are coming to Jackson! I only get to see them 3 or 4 times a year so I cherish any time I spend with them.

When I'm standing and looking down, I have absolutely no view of my feet. Its quite amusing to me that a belly can poke out so much it obstructs the view of my size 10 feet. I'm actually thankful for it because when I'm sitting down with them propped up, I get sad because they're so hideous! They've started really swelling lately and never go down completely over night. My shoes and socks leave impressions in them. I was blessed with nice looking feet and now they're gone. I just hope that once Will arrives they won't be fat permanently. I'll have to say bye to sandals if that's the case! For now I'm not giving up my sandals and flip flops (that I can fit into) because I figure people see the giant belly and don't pay much attention to my sausage toes. And if they do, I have a pretty good excuse for them. I'm just glad I don't have to go through the whole summer with pregnant feet!

...I was born! Today is the day that I am officially more than half-way to 50. I can't believe it. One day you're being dropped off at school and handed lunch money to buy some cardboard like pizza and tasteless green beans and the next you're pregnant and cooking dinner in the house you have a mortgage on with your husband. Time just flies by so quickly! I'm very excited for today to come, not because its my birthday or St. Patrick's Day, but my mom seems to be convinced that Will is going to be a little early and be born April 17th. So we're only a month out from my mom's estimated due date for my baby. I hope she's right! Lately I can't breathe or sleep or tie my shoes, plus I really really want to go to Lea Ann's wedding on May 3rd. It would be fabulous if he decided to be born in a month. I'm looking forward to meeting him whenever he decides to make his grand entrance!

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and found out I'm anemic. I'm not completely suprised because I've been so exhausted lately. Apparently its not severe because he doesn't want to put me on a supplement other than what's already in my vitamins, but he forbid me from eating the things I love! This means no ice, ice cream, sherbet, popsicles, slushies, creamslushes, icees or basically anything cold or frozen except for frozen yogurt. I'm heartbroken! Ok, I'll get over it. But I've always loved to crunch on ice. Its more of a habit than a craving, though I do really want it when my mouth is dry. My dad's an ice-cruncher too so I guess I picked it up from him. And ever since I've been pregnant ice cream and popsicles and such have been my friend when my stomach isn't feeling too hot. I've only got 7 weeks to go unless he's late, so hopefully I can deal. Its going to be hard though!

My sister-in-law Emily gave me my first shower this weekend. I thought she did a great job with the colors, theme and favors. The favors are oragami sailboats with lifesavers. We played some fun games and have a great time. Will got many sweet outfits and some practical items like a bathtub, monitor and towels. Though I'm not that fond of being the center of attention, I have to admit it was fun to open all of the gifts and see all the cute baby items. Brad and I are very blessed with people who love and support us. Only about 7 weeks to go!!

Brad sold his truck today. It was bitter-sweet. He hated to see it go but being handed a nice big check eased the pain. Now we can focus on our vehicle and quit playing musical parking with the garage. Now I can't wait to actually get our carseat so I can put it in the back! Brad's not too thrilled about finally getting the car he wants then turning it into a baby mobile, but if there were no baby, there would be no Tahoe at the Sharp's house. He gave the Tahoe its first bath the other day with some help from our dogs. They love being out front with us and really love the water hose.

Its the end of the road for Brad's truck with the Sharp Family. He has had it since the summer after we started dating, which was about 9 years ago. He has lovingly taken care of this truck and is really sad to get rid of it, but we need more space for our growing family. I have a 4 door car but I drive so much for work that my car needs frequent maintenance and would feel more comfortable having another 4 door vehicle. That and the fact that we can load down my car with just the two of us going on a trip, so I know we wouldn't have enough room for baby gear too! So this past week we bought a 2003 Tahoe with some help from my brother the car finder. Now we have to sell the Tacoma and Brad is not wanting to part with it. I feel bad for him to give up his truck but it would have to leave us at some point.
